This is the Nicstalgia manifesto — or at least the beginning of it. It’s about doing what’s fun rather than what’s practical (like getting a flip phone lol). Appreciating the gorgeous little details of life around you, from the mundane to the spectacular. Tapping into your enthusiasm as a superpower and letting your joie de vivre make someone’s day. Putting on your tallest platform shoes, doing a hair flip, blowing a kiss to yourself in the mirror, and yell-singing songs from your favorite album from when you were 14, just because you can.
Collect the Nicstalgia flip phone in collaboration with the amazing Fabiola Larios on Zora L2 (which features the custom Nicstalgia theme song of my 2000s dreams by Emily Gabriele) or download the extremely cute [static] phone wallpaper!!!!!! This is personally my lock screen wallpaper and it makes me happy every time I look at my phone (which is frequently LOL) 💖💕💘💗💞💝💓
I’m super excited about exploring new creative avenues, including digital art collabs like this, as well as some writing projects. I’m actively practicing getting my ideas out of my head and into the universe, whatever form that takes. I have found so much more joy in my Nicstalgic endeavors because I no longer see content creation as an obligation. (Big win!) Very grateful to have people like Fabi in my corner who encourage this creative exploration, where I can be like, “Hey wouldn’t it be cool if there was a flip phone with my little Nic Doll on it but like it spins and also there are clouds in the background??” ICYMI, she was a guest on Nicstalgia last week – go watch Come on [AI] Barbie, Let's Go Party if you haven’t already!!! Will be taking next week off from the newsletter and pod since I will be hanging out in the forest with my internet friends!!! 🌲
